See the 3 different coloured cities of Rajasthan, look for tigers in the maharajahs old hunting grounds, bird watching in a world famous bird park, ride a camel in the Thar desert and see many temples, forts and well known sights (including the Taj Mahal that borders the state of Rajasthan)

Description

Day 1
Arrive Delhi and transfer by private car to a hotel to freshen up and eat. Afternoon train to Agra.

Day 2
Morning visit to the Taj Mahal, Red Fort and marble factory. Visit Fatehpur Sikri on the way to Bharatpur – 1 hour drive approx.

Day 3
All day in the famous world heritage listed Keoladeo Ghana National Park, home to nearly 400 Species of bird plus insects and mammals.

Day 4
Drive to Ranthambore (approx 4 – 6 hours) and free afternoon to relax in hotel.

Day 5 – 7
5 game drives in search of tigers and other wildlife and an afternoon visit to the fort.

Day 8
3 hour drive to the “Pink City” of Jaipur. – relax in hotel. – optional visit to see a movie in the evening.

Day 9
All day sightseeing in Jaipur – Palace, fort, lake and observatory.

Day 10
A 3-4 hour drive to Pushkar. Afternoon sightseeing to the holy temple and lake.

Day 11
All day drive (approx 200miles) to Udaipur. Overnight hotel in Udaipur over looking the lake.

Day 12
All day sightseeing in Udaipur – holy temple, palace, gardens and Nehru Park for sun set.

Day 13
Drive (approx 170 miles) to the “Blue City” of Jodphur via the Jain temples of Ranakpur

Day 14
Sightseeing in Jodphur to the fort, market, museum and free time.

Day 15
Drive (approx 165 miles) to Jaisalmer, the “Golden City” and visit the holy lake and relax.

Day 16
Morning visit to the fort, temples and hawelis before a short drive (1 hour) to Sam in the Thar Desert. Sunset camel ride and overnight stay in a permanent tented camp. Enjoy local dancing.

Day 17
Long driving day to Bikaner – approx 240 miles – overnight stay in a Heritage hotel.

Day 18
Morning visit to the fort and Rat Temple before driving 120 miles to Mandawa – Heritage hotel.

Day 19
Visit the market and paintings in the town of Mandawa and free time.

Day 20
Drive approx 160 miles to Delhi – half day sightseeing in Old and New Delhi. Take a Rickshaw ride to the mosque in Old Delhi before visiting Raj Ghat, government buildings and India Gate and Humayun’s Tomb.

Day 21
Tour ends – transfer to airport – return home or onward travel.
