An active trip in Nepal including a fully supported 7 daycamping trek to Tara Top (3056m), rafting on the Seti river, looking forwildlife in Chitwan National Park and sightseeing in Kathmandu

Day 1
Arrive Kathmandu and transfer by private car to a 3* hotel. Relax in hotel or OPTIONAL walk around Thamel and Garden of Dreams near the Royal Palace. Trip briefing.

Day 2
Sightseeing in Kathmandu – Monkey Temple, Bodhnath Stupa, Ghats at Pashupatinath, Kathmandu Durbar Square and any last minute shopping before the trek starts.

Day 3
Drive to Pokhara and have lunch. Free afternoon to relax, walk down by Phewa Tal Lake or walk around the town.

Day 4
Leave Pokhara and drive for about 1 hour to Keseari, the start of the trek. Walk alongside the Bijayapurn Khola River, through villages and farmland and up steps to the village of Kalika (approx 7km and 1160m ascent) and the 1st nights camp over looking Begnas Tal Lake. Free afternoon to relax to enjoy the scenery or walk to a neighbouring village and view point of the Annapurnas and the lake. Return to camp.

Day 5
Walk back in to village, through woodland and cross the Madi River. Walk up lots of steps to the lunch stop before more steps in to the 2nd camp at 1550m near Yangjakot village. Enjoy views of the Annapurnas and sunset. Day 6 Wake for sunrise and hopefully good views. Walk through villages, woodland and cross bridges before the lunch stop by the Madi River. Walk alongside the river and through villages before getting to the 3rd camp in Soda.

Day 7
Leave the village, alongside the river before the start of a steep ascent and lots of steps to Parju village and the lunch stop. Hope to have great views of the landscape – mountains, rivers and farmland. A very short but steep walk after lunch takes us to the 4th camp. Free afternoon to relax or walk to the neighbouring village of Siklis.

Day 8
Wake to (hopefully) more good views of the Annapurnas. A steep ascent through heathland before the ground levels off to stony paths, crossing small waterfalls before the lunch stop at 2800m in woodland. Continue through woodland after lunch and up to Tara Top at 3056m and the 5th camp.

Day 9
Watch the sunrise behind the Annapurna Range before descending steeply through woodland and on steps before the ground levels out before more steps through the villages to the lunch stop by the river about 2000m below Tara Top. Continue after lunch to the 6th camp by the river and views back up to Tara Top.

Day 10
The last camp breakfast before a gentle walk alongside the river, through villages and woodland to Puranchaur where we are met by transport, mid morning, to take us back to Pokhara (1 hour drive approx). Free afternoon to relax, walk down by the lake or to do some shopping.

Day 11
Drive to the small hillside village of Bandipur for an overnight stay. Have lunch in the guest house before a free afternoon to walk around the village, relax or enjoy the views.

Day 12
Leave Bandipur and walk for about 4 hours through the village, along the ridge, up and down steps, through woodland, farmland and villages to the Seti River and lunch on the river bank. Afternoon rafting on the Seti River before arriving at our 1st camp on the river bank. We all help to prepare the evening meal and put up tents.

Day 13
Pack up camp and have breakfast before starting rafting on the gentle water. Look out for birds and other wildlife along the way before stopping for lunch alongside the river. Continue rafting in the afternoon to the 2nd camp on the river bank.

Day 14
Continue rafting to the Seti / Trisuli river junction and look out for birds along the way. Go down through a long rapid (grade 3) before the lunch stop, exit point and the end of the rafting. Drive to Chitwan National Park, approx 2-3 hours and stay in the village of Sauraha. Free time to relax, walk around the village and watch the sunset over the Rapti River.

Day 15 – 16
Walking safari in to Chitwan National Park in search of single horned Asiatic rhino and other wildlife. Travel by dugout canoe for bird-watching, and to find other mammals. Watch the sunset over the Rapti River.

Day 17
Transfer to Bharatpur airport by road – return flight to Kathmandu. Free afternoon in Kathmandu.

Day 18
Free day in Kathmandu – OPTIONAL Everest flight and additional sightseeing OR tour ends – transfer to airport – return home or onward travel.
